Thank you for visiting my site! I am here to share with you my passion to live an authentic, abundant, happy, healthy, sparkling, vibrant life. My goal is to support and inspire everyone who has a desire to live life to the fullest and become their most energetic, vibrant self. I have an overflowing passion to empower people to take their health into their hands and make the changes they need to reach their optimal health.

My Story

I grew up in Hungary and moved to the US for my graduate studies. I have an MBA in Consulting and a MS in International Business. In my job as a marketing consultant, I lived and travelled around the globe. I loved getting to know new people and cultures, and helping people with a new, better strategy to make more educated decisions in a more effective way.

But something was missing…
Slowly my health problems started to grow and hinder my effectiveness, taking away my energy and passion for what I was doing.It all started with worsening morning sickness (wakeup call #1). I had been feeling horrible for a while at that point – stomach pain, all sorts of digestive issues and joint pain. I was working a lot of hours, stopped cooking and started eating more and more sandwiches. A massage therapist mentioned that maybe I should avoid gluten. I had no idea what gluten was. After some research I gave it a go and avoided the new mysterious G ingredient as much as possible. What a huge relief and change it was! I remember saying: “This is how normal people are supposed to feel?” I felt uplifted, light and liberated!

I had to realize that gluten was not only playing tricks on my digestive system, but even played with my mood!! It seemed crazy at the time, but I now know it’s a proven fact.I felt better so I kept working hard, working out hard and traveling a ton… you know, really burning the candle at both ends… and ignoring all the other signals that something was still not right. I was more and more exhausted, I could barely drag myself out of bed in the morning and could fall asleep any time anywhere. I had massive brain fog and mood swings, constant joint pain, my digestive issues slowly returned, anxiety and eventually PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) with all of its symptoms. I started to worry that I might not even be able to have children when I get there.

All this still wasn’t enough to make me stop, reassess and rethink my lifestyle and mindset.Wakeup call #2 happened 2.5 years later when I ended up on my friend’s bathroom floor curled up and unable to move, with a feeling that my stomach would rupture. We hadn’t seen each other for a while and were so exited to catch up! We had our long overdue girls’ night with good Hungarian wines, cheese and awesome chats. I will never forget the fear in my girlfriends’ eyes as they saw me in massive pain. This was just 2 weeks before my 30th birthday.

My “New Life”

readingMEAn acupuncturist told me that your body is gentle with you still in your early twenties, but then it’s time to grow up, you have to learn to manage your stress on your own because it won’t keep supporting you with the extra boost. The extra boost was definitely gone. I decided it was time to get my life and health back on track so I could have a quality, long, happy life.That’s when I started my “new life”. Full on elimination diet for 3 months, supplements, holistic nutritionist, chiropractor and acupuncture visits, yoga classes, colonics, meditation. Then a month of crazy cravings and falling off the wagon. I got back on and kept going strong. Quite a few people around me thought I was crazy. But I stuck with it as I felt better and better.

I knew I was on the right track. Along the way, I met chiropractors, acupuncturists, holistic nutritionists and yoga teachers – each of them giving me a little taste of what true health might be like. I had to go on my own path, though, to figure out the whole picture for myself. Eventually, I overcame the things that had been blocking my health: various food sensitivities, digestive problems, massive adrenal fatigue and insulin resistance, PCOS, blood sugar issues, joint pain, weight and self-image problems. And it all happened through experimenting with food and making lasting lifestyle changes. Ironically, as I started to feel better than ever, I was watching the sad reality of a deadly disease taking my father away. Both experiences helped clarify to me my purpose in life: helping people to stay healthy and feel their most amazing self, living the abundant life they really deserve!

Back to school

certificateMEhonorsMETo learn more about how I could help people along their path to better health, I enrolled at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and later at the Academy of Culinary Nutrition.

I have studied all the major dietary theories and various coaching techniques at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition from highly regarded professors such as: Dr. Andrew Weil, Deepak Chopra, David Wolfe, Dr. Joel Furman, Dr. Walter Willet, Dr. Barry Spears and Andrea Beaman. To take my passion for cooking to the next level, I enrolled to Meghan Telphner’s Culinary Nutrition Academy. I learned how to get the most out of our food to fuel us, how to incorporate healing and energizing super foods that also provide us with joy. I am Culinary Nutrition Expert.

My work is my passion and hobby, so any time I read for pleasure I’m always buried in some of the newest research, books and articles on the topic of health, wellness and happiness.

When I am not in my kitchen experimenting and cooking for my lovely husband or reading, I love to be outdoors – running, cycling, yoga, skiing, snowboarding, rollerblading, wakeboarding. I also have a thing for traveling, learning about new people, new ways of living, new belief systems… and food… of course!

Even though I have been running with the health train for quite a few years now and created the life that supports my new lifestyle, I still had some worry if I was able to conceive when we are ready.  Well, I have to say all the changes, trial and error, researching and studying was worth all efforts!

We have the most beautiful baby girl – and I have to brag – for the first try. Yes, we have a honeymoon baby! 🙂 She is one more reason for us to stay healthy as we entering a whole new world… to raise a thriving, balanced, content child and a grow a happy family!
